Many of the teenage troops who made up the backbone of the Islamist army had blended back into the civilian population, walking around without guns or their trademark green skullcaps.
My one tip for Ethopia…don’t stop. Keep pounding night after night and week after week. These guys go into hiding and come back when you least expect it. Don’t let them lull you into false confidence. That’s what happened to us in Iraq, and you can see how that’s turning out.
