I will begin by admitting that I had no idea the Denver Botanic Gardens has a 29-year-old summer concert series. Then again, who goes looking for acts like Joan Baez or The Wallflowers at their local botanic garden? Wall flowers, yes. The Wallflowers, no.
Fortunately, the concerts don’t begin until July 13th (and will run until August 31st) so I have time to inform those who are similarly in the dark. Unfortunately, I must also inform you that the aforementioned concerts by Joan Baez and The Wallflowers are already sold out. Those with memberships to the Gardens snapped them all up. Then again, there are a couple of carnivorous plants in the collection and you never know when one of them is going to go all “Audrey II” on a couple of members. So it might be good to check occasionally and see if any tickets have become available.
Ticket prices vary, so check the website, but the performers and dates they’re performing are:
July 13: William Topley
July 16: Joan Baez
July 21: The Wallflowers
