On Saturday October 9, 2010, at 8 p.m., Feed Philly 2010 will be occurring at The Fire on 4th and Girard, featuring bands such as The Jeanmarie, Jonas Sees In Color, The Fleeting Ends, and Dussel Has Friends. Feed Philly 2010 is an event hosted by 24 West Management, in partnership with the Philabundance organization. The event’s aim is to bring together a community that both encourages the burgeoning local music scene, as well as raises awareness about and aids the homeless and hungry of Philadelphia.

With the recession hitting those close to home especially hard, it is a chance for all of us whose finances have not been too detrimentally affected to assist those in need. And we can even hear some great music while we’re at it. Tickets are only $8 and proceeds from the event will go to local food banks.
