This Sunday, April 3rd, come to New York City’s very first Vegetarian Food Festival and eat as many free samples as you can fit into your mouth from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Â Now don’t feel left out if you’re an omnivore; everyone is invited! Â It doesn’t matter if you’re a hardcore vegan or just a penniless meat-eater that is looking to score some free food. Â Either way, you’ll learn a little something about cruelty-free living and get to munch on some awesome samples from local restaurants and vendors like The V-Spot, Coconut Bliss, Kombucha Brooklyn, and many, many more.
Not only will there be great food, but there are definitely going to be some great events too. Â The amazing Chloe Jo Davis, creator of GirlieGirl Army, will be giving a lecture on vegan parenting, and Dr. Neal Barnard, President of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, will be sharing information on his 21 Day Weight Loss Kickstart. Â There will even be a yoga demonstration by teachers from the Jivamukti Yoga School, and food demos by renowned vegans like Terry Hope Romero (co-author of the best-selling cookbook Veganomicon). Â And what kind of festival would this be without some belly dancing and musical performances? Â Check out nycvegfoodfest.com for the full schedule and don’t miss the vegan cupcake-eating contest!
The NYC Vegetarian Food Festival happens this Sunday, April 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Altman Building (135 West 18th St., between 6th & 7th Avenues). Â Admission is FREE.
