Minnesota-based metal five-piece After The Burial have broken their silence in regards to the status of their new promotional video for the track “Pendulum,” which comes from their album, In Dreams.
The aforementioned video was shot last December, but has since been held up due to legal issues beyond the band’s control.
The concept of the video was to have the band invade an all-girls Catholic school (which, oddly, is what I dream about every night) and give the girls the opportunity to have some uninhibited fun.
Throughout their performance in the school’s gym the director and other various crew members encouraged the girls to let loose and “go wild” to accompany the chorus of the song where the band yells “We lose control.”
Well, according to the band’s label, some of the girls took everything a little too far “by grinding on each other, in addition to displaying other inappropriate lewd conduct, creating an environment that got the conservative Catholic chaperones on the set into a frenzy.”
The director’s production company has since been slapped with a cease and desist notice by the school where the shoot went down, essentially delaying the release of this video.
