Forget the video games console war between the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 for a moment, and forget also the high definition format war which ended earlier this year with Blu-ray beating HD DVD to a pulp. The flagship car in GM’s green product offering is the Chevy Volt, but the company is demonstrating that it’s making fuel efficiency gains with other models as well. It looks like consumers are noticing too because sales numbers GM has released are showing improvement. What a dilemma for vegans? Here is a 100% biodegradable engine oil, made entirely from products grown in America but those products happen to be cows, pigs and chickens. Omnivores, however, will have absolutely no problem getting behind this new technology.

In times of hardship humans often innovate, reaching for new efficiencies and cost savings. The dairy and retail industries are no different, and a new stackable milk jug promises to cut transportation costs by maximizing the available space in each delivery truck. But, some grocery shoppers think the new design stinks.

One of the good things about large extended families is that you can always find someone who knows something about any topic. One of my cousins has worked in the oil industry for years as a geologist evaluating different areas for oil exploration.

Freedom of expression is one of the cornerstones of the Internet, with anything which is above the law pretty much allowed and tolerated. But those freedoms can sometimes be manipulated to cause someone else’s right to express their views seemingly disappear.

Caskets and cremation are old hat — in today’s world members of the Body Worlds donor program have signed over plastination rights to their body upon death, which means the corpse will likely enjoy a long shelf life as bodily fluids are replaced with plastic. Most donors feel as though they’re giving back to humankind by allowing others to study their material remains. But, critics worry that some of the bodies on display may have been procured through “questionable means”.

Motorola, now B-list handset manufacturer that once gave us the all-powerful Razor, doesn’t want to be left off the touchscreen handset gravy train. For that reason, Motorola has created the Blaze, a smart-looking little handset, all decked out in red, for all the CDMA fans over at Verizon.

Unicycle’s require balance and coordination. Monocycle’s require agility and balance. Like the Unicycle there is one wheel and one seat, but there the similarity ends. Amazingly enough a new type of pedaled riding vehicle has been invented for those that were bored with only the trillion or so types of bicycles and unicycles available.
