Sony’s new slimline ‘T30′ ups the ante in the image stabilisation wars. With most modern cameras now offering some form of optical image stabilisation to compensate for hand movements causing blurry shots, Sony’s new ‘Double Anti-Blur’ system delivers the goods. Called ‘Super Steady Shot’ technology, it has an optical image stabiliser inside equipped with built-in gyro sensors to detect camera shake, and simply compensates for it automatically. 7.2 megapixel photo quality, a massive 3″ ‘Clear Photo Plus’ LCD screen and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens are great features, however the zoom is still at 3x optical. The new High Sensitivity CCD within has an improved sensitivity of up to ISO 1000, which lets you capture fast moving subjects and indoor scenes in low light conditions using faster shutter speeds for more accurate and blur-free pictures. When in this mode, the T30 flash range is extended to 6.0m which allows you to effectively shoot far away subjects in all light situations. A ‘one-touch’ Display Adjustment Button lets you boost the brightness of the screen to view the frame clearly under strong light, while battery life is stellar with up to 420 shots from a single battery charge. Amazing!
