It’s important to note that this fits onto existing seats. Place it on virtually any seat, or even a bean bag, and then plug in your iPod, PSP, DVD player or anything with a 3.5mm headphone socket and feel the beat as the special massaging sections move in customisable beat with the audio. It comes with extension cables if there’s a bit of distance between you and the TV, otherwise its headphone cable just plugs into the portable device you’re using, be it a notebook, iPod or otherwise. Feel the explosions in games and movies, feel the rhythm of the music, experience your favourite TV shows as never before, while the speakers at the top of the seat direct sound right to your ears, giving them an aural treat!
I was able to test it out with a driving game, some cool video clips and music from an iPod, and it really added to the experience. You can turn the effect of the massaging vibrations up or down – the intensity, speed and personalised body zone control are all completely adjustable.
It’s coming in October to retail stores and will sell for AUD $199. It’s definitely worth trying out for yourself, and you’ll certainly have the opportunity as 500 demo seats are being installed in stores. It’s a really simple way to get a nicely immersive and better interactive experience from your existing games, music, TV shows and music. It looks like it could be quite a popular gift for the Christmas/holiday season this year!
