Microsoft Cracking Down on Illegal Office users
An online report confirms that Microsoft’s ‘Windows Genuine Advantage’ program for Microsoft Office, creatively titled the ‘Office Genuine Advantage’ program or OGA, has already been in beta-testing for several months. It’s now about to be switched on for all, with no choice to ‘opt out’ of the validation process as there has been during the beta testing phase.

Microsoft misses internal deadline for vista rtm
According to respected Taiwanese tech news website DigiTimes and US based Paul Thurrott at his website, the final RTM version of Vista is being delayed one last time. Why? Because a show-stopper series of bugs has been found in RTM build 5824. This build had around 500 bugs, a third of 1450 bugs in the older Vista RC2. While this 500 bug figure has been reported to be the number at which the release is practically good to go, the show-stopping new bugs delivered a devastating blow to the October 25 RTM deadline, which has now shifted to November 8.
new Macbook Pros Launch at last
What is it about Apple executives and the inabiility to meet deadlines? Well I for one have been hanging out for the new Macbook Pro, and thankfully, it’s now about to be launched, according to reliable sources. The MacBook Pro is not a book, but a clever pun, it’s actually a notebook, but Apple has a policy of ignoring the English language and making up its own words, which is cool in an arrogant kind of way. I predict that one day cell phones will be called iphones.
Core 2 duo macbooks to launch next week
But where are the Macbooks? As I and others have predicted, Apple have finally launched Core 2 Duo based MacBook Pros onto the world market. Already for sale from all major Apple websites including Australia, Apple’s greatest chance at gaining new Mac converts has arrived.

I find laser print boring, and in fact I also find inkjet printing boring, which is why I’m so relieved that Ricoh has come up with gel printing. Ink, toner, boring, but gel, that’s something else all together. Who doesn’t like gel? You can get gel toothpaste, so why not gel printing. I’m so excited by this notion, and I predict that by 2011, everyone will be brusthing their teeth with gel toothpaste, and printing with it as well.

With nearly 350 Digg-style sites on just about any news topic you can imagine, including sites in other languages, the user-ranked and user-generated content revolution won’t be going away any time soon.

A car that gets 100 miles per gallon
Want a car that can tow anything? The Volkswagen Touareg sounds perfect, especially after it towed a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. But what a pity we’re still only towing planes, instead of flying cars!
Microsoft launches IE7, first bug already found
After several beta and release candidate versions, the final version of Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) has been released and is now available for download, although the first bug has already been reported.
