Extremely high numbers of downloads from the Xbox Live video download service over the past few of days has caused the slow download speeds and video download issues US customers have been experiencing, reports Microsoft, with a fix in the works and engineers working around the clock.

By all accounts getting your hands on a PS3 in North America has been quite difficult, and here’s the reason why. While Sony orginally planned to ship 300,000 to 400,000 PS3s during the launch weekend, according to statements by American Technology Research, Sony actually shipped somewhere between 125,000 and 175,000 units. It’s unlikely that Sony will meet its 2006 (calender year) North American/Japanese target of 2 million units.

A stereogram is a two dimensional image that has a three dimensional image hidden in it. The image gives the illusion of depth when the viewer focuses their eyes behind the Image. The Magic Eye series of images is an excellent example of this, and played a big role in making stereograms popular.

Did you know that using an FM transmitter with your iPod, mp3 player or other audio device to transmit the signal wirelessly to any radio that can pick up FM, is illegal? Soon it won’t be, any more.

With quantum ‘bits’, or qubits, able to have a value of zero and one at the same time, they appear to violate physical matter’s inability to be in two places or two states at the same time. But they’re real, with scientists able to read the individual quantum values of 10,000 phosphorous atoms in a new experiment.
