Tubes now accessible to Mac users

Adesso Systems, the developer of Tubes, an instant social networking application, announced that the application is now accessible to Mac users. By including full support for Parallels Desktop for Mac, Tubes now enables Mac users to create, connect and share via Tubes as easily as Windows users.
Tubes is a Windows-only application that let you create instant personal sharing networks by sending email invitations. Tubes lets you instantly share anything like photos, music, video, documents with everyone you know and have them share their stuff with you through the same tube.
With Parallels virtualization solutions and the code optimization made by Adesso on Tubes, the instant social networking application through the Parallels new Coherence mode, lets you run Tubes on your Mac desktop, just like a native Mac apps. This means that you can load the Windows-only version of Tubes in Parallels Desktop for Mac in Coherence mode, and drag and drop Mac or Windows files to your Tube.
“We applaud the Tubes team for being among the first companies to extend their reach to Mac users by enabling full compatibility with Parallels Desktop for Mac and Parallels new Coherence feature,” says Benjamin Rudolph, Director of Corporate Communications, Parallels. “We anticipate a groundswell of innovative software companies with important new technologies to follow Adesso and Tubes on this path to broader market acceptance.”
“We are committed to bringing our entire Tubes platform to the Mac and this was a logical first step to demonstrate our dedication to the Apple community,” said Steve Chazin, vice president of marketing. “Not many small companies take the time to qualify a Windows product on the Mac, but we felt it was important to begin here. We’re happy to support this configuration so Mac users can now take advantage of our simple yet powerful social sharing application. We love the Mac (it’s the only computer I use) and this is just the beginning of our burgeoning Mac story as we work to increase Tubes’ functionality and expand our base of users.”
Tubes is still in beta release with Beta 4 as the latest version. Tubes Beta 4 release is supported by all Intel-based Macs running Parallels Desktop for Mac.
