Likelihood of Microsoft’s Yahoo purchase increases
It is. It isn’t. It is. It isn’t. It might. Microsoft is after a better search engine and since it can’t or doesn’t want to make its own better what better target than Yahoo. Whatever the case is many analysts think that Microsoft is closer than ever to snatching up Yahoo! for its own nefarious purposes.
I really don’t know what else I can say on the matter because we’ve been here at least once before and I said quite a bit back then. Then it was said Microsoft won’t buy Yahoo! but its recent acquisition of AQuantive advertising has analysts scratching their heads over the $6 billion deal. Bloomberg thinks something is going on.
The same things remain true, Microsoft needs a good search engine, MSN search and Live search don’t count because those aren’t good and I’m sure its crack programmers could at least drop the Yahoo! engine into the existing framework.
This is just like how Google wants to offer RSS services, I’ve stated my opinion on RSS before and I see no reason to revisit that but why can’t these companies just rebuild, redo or create something new instead of attempting to buy up everything in sight.
If things keep going at this rate it won’t be long before you’re eating “Microsoft Company Chicken Soup – now virus free.” That’s just for conjecture and I’m using Campbell’s Soup in that example.
I just want a straight answer from either company, Microsoft says it is interested, Yahoo says it isn’t and analysts think something is going on and now both companies are declining to comment on anything. Plausible deniability, who knows, who cares, I don’t like playing these “we might, we’re not, we might” acquisition games.

What you whining for?
MS, Yahoo, Google, all 3 take advantage in every way they can.
All anyone ever does is whin about them… yet continue to use them.
You don’t like THEM, then stop using them.. switch to alterantive sources.
Till people start backing their own big mouthes, those companies will continue doing just as ALL 3 have been doing, padding their pockets, while screwing their users that aren’t smart enough to be anythign more than a herd of sheep.
Whin Whin Whin while falling off a cliff.
