I think it really depends on how they categorize iPhone. ATT/Cingular has data plan for smart phone that costs 19.99 for unlimited usage. I think iPhone should be in this category. OR they might create a new pricing for iPhone.

Isn’t it possible that the reason they are withholding this information is that the cost will be significantly lower than with current plans, and that AT&T doesn’t want to kill its current sales any earlier than necessary? If the iPhone is to be a consumer product rather than a business product, the total cost will have to be lower than today’s business plans.

I’d also expect to have very little choice in available plans for the iPhone. Apple seems to like to give only enough choices to make customers feel like they have some choice, and no more.

When factoring in the price, how much would it cost to own a Blackjack or a blackberry? The EXACT same. Why are you critisizing Apple & AT&T for their price when the cost for a PDA phone (which the iPhone is) is the same across the board. All carriers have about the same charge for the same services. Except T-Mobile because the the SideKick. If you don’t want to spend that much on services (which you are using), then get out of line to make room for somebody who wants to pay. Thank you.
