Microsoft: it’s time to let go of Office 2003

By John Pospisil

Microsoft-excel Microsoft Office 2003 will no longer be available after June 30,2007.

Writing on the Microsoft Small Business Community Blog, Eric Ligman, the manager of Microsoft’s small business community engagement program said that while some OEM Microsoft distributors may have some remaining inventory left for a short time after June 30th, Microsoft will no longer be shipping OEM Microsoft Office to them.

But don’t worry, as Ligman points out, this presents OEM distributors with a great opportunity to “educate” customers about the “benefits and features of the 2007 Microsoft Office system”.
