Since when did Germany do things "outside the EU"? And the claims are for Germany because Deutsche Telekom is a German company, who operate in other countries, such as the UK, as T-Mobile. It's highly likely that Apple want to do a pan-European deal if possible. I'm not sure why they'd start with Germany when other European markets are bigger and potentially more receptive to Apple products, and the iPhone. Anyway, AT&T lockdown for 5 years in the US has nothing to do with how other territories get the iPhone. I’m a bit confused. Since when did Germany do things “outside the EU”?
