Teens say an iPhone is cooler than a new car
By Jonathan Schlaffer
It seems that this generation of young people would rather have an iPhone over owning a new car. In a survey that involved 16 to 29 year olds, more than 70% of respondents would prefer owning an iPhone over a new car.
While cell phones were one of the top desired possessions with 32% saying a cell phone would impress their friends that number went just past 70% if the cell phone in question was an iPhone. That’s according to a CNW Survey.
iPhones weren’t the only thing more desirable than a new car, computers, game systems and iPods also topped the list. I guess we can thank the female population for getting shoes on the list as well. Shoes, more popular than a car, surely not.
Something is really very wrong with this generation, if you’re of driving age with a full drivers’ license and your parents (or other family member) offer you a new car or an iPhone, am I to believe that the general consensus that the iPhone would be preferred?
In simple terms of economics a “free” car beats out a “free” phone, any day of the week in my book.

Oh, sure. Let’s all trust a “survey” that teens would like new shoes before a car. Where do teens walk? The mall, school and the hangout places. But they all drive to get there.
CNW needs to get a life. And keep their day jobs. Polls are only as good as the people who make them up.
I think I might start a poll about Stoern.

How about one of each? or is that against the laws of the universe?
