Teens under investigation for YouTube toddler Ecstasy video

Police are planning to interview a group of Houston teenagers who posted a cruel video (see below) on YouTube showing a toddler huddled on the floor of a moving car while being poked, slapped and prodded after she was apparently given the drug Ecstasy.
Harris County Sheriff’s officials were able to identify the teenage girls after a tourist map in the car and the radio station playing in the background indicated that the video was shot in Houston. The teenagers themselves are shown in the video.
In the video the teenagers poke and prod the toddler, who doesn’t respond. The toddler rolls her eyes, and is told by one of the teenage girls: “Cookie, stop rolling, girl. You shouldn’t have popped no x.”
While it’s not clear whether the girl was actually given Ecstasy, Lieutenant John Martin from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, told the Houston Chronicle that there is something obviously wrong with the toddler. He also pointed out that neither the toddler or another infant in the car are in child seats.
“These people are endangering these children for their own amusement,” said Martin.
The video has been removed from YouTube, but it has been uploaded to LiveLeak (see below). Be warned, it is heart breaking to watch this video, particularly if you’re a parent.
Child Protective Services is considering its own investigation. The FBI is also looking into the matter.

As a mother any type of abuse toward children breaks my heart. This poor little girl has no idea of what or why they did that to her. It is despicable. It pains me to think of what other atrocities she has suffered. Children are a blessing from God and they should be loved and protected. That little girl needs to be in a loving and safe environment. I hope these girls are prosecuted and incarcerated for a long long time.

In the State of Texas a child who hits her teacher gets 14years (this is FACTUAL)…Thats right folks: 14years…and these clowns are under investigation?!…So much for a picture tells a THOUSAND WORDS…Our Family would take these children in and provide them with a SAFE HAVEN IN WHICH TO GROW…So if a child gets 14years for hitting her teacher…does this mean these clowns get LIFE FOR CHILD ENDANGERMENT.CHILD ABUSE,CHILD NEGLECT, ATTEMPTED MURDER?

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! It pains my heart to know that there are so many like people in one small space who would find pleasure in a helpless childs demise….. And had the AUDACITY to be listening to a Christian radio station. Not one of them came to the childs aide not even the driver who i assume was an adult….My opinion is they all need to be found and prosecuted as adults.

My prayers go out to this little girl. I do not believe she was playing. God protects children and I pray He will put his arms around this child and bring her out of this terrible family she is in. I pray also that the people who are responsible for her clean up their lives and realize how ignorant, absurd, dangerousm and stupid this whole situation has been. I pray that they seek God for forgiveness and for protection for the develpment of such a beautiful, innocent child. In Jesus’ name I pray for all of those in the video. I hope cps is smart enough to do a hair follicle test as opposed to a urinalysis. Cps can actually be more harmful than helpful and I know this from personal experience. However I do not know of Anyone that has taken or been exposed to exstasy wouldn’t argue that she wasn’t on it. She was obviously dehydrated and her jaw appeared to be grinding. There is no way that she could have controlled her eyes by rolling them into the back of her head. That excuse is absolutely ludacris! I hope the cps, fbi or whoever is involved gets to the bottom if this and if that video was a joke, the children in it were not in safety seats and therefore they should be taken away for not traveling safely and appropriately.

Like Lucas said, the only problem is that the small children were not in their appropriate seats. But that kid was obviously joking. She found out she could roll her eyes in an unnerving manner and played with it in front of the camera. She even smiled at some moments. Gosh, have you never been kids? I used to do things like that all of the time. The “x” was only a joke, why do you guys have to be so PC? Never seen so many people fall for a kid’s prank before.

Lee and Luca are right – they are just having fun, even the kid. Pay attention to what goes on around 1:55. The kid stops messing with her eyes and they say “do it again”. And she immediately rolls her eyes again. They cover it and the girl smiles. She does it again and they say “Cookie, no!”. And everyone has a good laugh out of it.
I’ve seen people saying she was totally unresponsive because she was tripping so hard, because supposedly that’s the effect of E, and that’s how a toddler would be affected by it. That’s pretty responsive to anyone who didn’t make up their mind before even seeing the video, and wasn’t manipulated by prefaces such as “Be warned, it is heart breaking to watch this video, particularly if you’re a parent.”
Well I am a parent, and I am a big brother, and I’ve seen kids do more “shocking-looking” things for fun, just because they are learning to play with their bodies. Next thing you know, a video of a kid rolling up their eyelids will be presented as “parents sell their child to satan, child possessed!!!!”

This is ridiculous! So now, if someone simply makes a video where their child is playing around (what it looks like) and says that the child is under the effect of ilegal substances, we are supposed to believe, shock and condemn it?
This kid doesn’t look drugged, but joking… More important than this is to think why teenagers think that using drugs are such a cool attitude.

Although it is supposedly a hoax … every person from “generation X” who has seen this video disagrees (including me!) It is obvious the little girl isn’t acting like a normal two year old … but the most important thing we should all be asking is WHERE ARE THE RESULT OF A HAIR FOLLICLE TEST?? Because I guarantee ecstasy will not show up in any urinalysis, especially a month after the alleged incident. I am from Houston and all I can hope for is that CPA and the police do their job on this one … that little girl deserves it.

Looks like a healthy little girl being weird and messing around to me… I take it nobody here has kids? Kids have a weird sense of humour. Apart from being unrestrained, this looks like how my big brother used to play with me in the car sometimes. I kept waiting for this video to get bad, and then it ended…

Ok, I have used ecstasy on multiple, multiple, multiple occasions and I am not proud of It. I am only twenty years old and I have never once thought about giving or kidding about giving a toddler any drug other than Tylenol ect..
While using ecstasy, even if you are that young, you will be somewhat coherent even if it is your first time using. The older girls are obviously using seeing how their eyes are completely dialated, widened(opened completely), and they don’t stop talking about nonsense. They are also chewing gum and moving the ipod in front of the toddlers face as if to make the little girl experience the effect of tracing lights.. The older girl also keeps hitting and rubbing the little girls face because the older girl knows sensation of touch has changed and it feels very different while on E. Unless this was rehearsed, why would the litttle girl not try to stop the older girl from hitting her head or rubbing her face and giving that blank stair of confusion mixed with an enormous sense of happiness. She looks very very confused yet at the same time the drug is making her feel very good inside. In my opinion, being a user of this drug for a year and a half (AUG 2006-late 2007) and taking multiple pills at once, this girl is obviously on E and is showing the tell tale signs of someone who is a first or second time user. These girls should be in jail or in a mental hospital because they are obviously hooked themselves.
At least we can be comforted in it looks to be the girls introduction to the drug and hopefully the last time.

i doubt that if a two year old the weighs less then 50 pounds were given xtc that she would even be in as good of condition as she is in the video. its obviously some girls acting as if drugs were cool.
