AT&T enables video calling across cellular network: AT&T Video Share
By Danny Mendez

AT&T launches their cellular video calling service known as AT&T Video Share into about 160 markets across the nation.
The video calling service uses AT&T’s 3G mobile network, and, for now, the only handset supporting the service is the LG CU500v pictured below.

According to the AT&T press release, the service will reach AT&T customers at any of their three “primary screens”: cell phones, PC screens, and TVs. AT&T engineers are currently perfecting the service to run to TVs over IPTV and computers over the Internet, but those features won’t be available for sometime, making the cell phone the only “screen” consumers will use the service on for now.
Unfortunately, AT&T video share only shares video one way while “sharing” sound both ways. Both parties will see the same live video feed.
If you’re interested in pricing, AT&T also announced add-on packages for AT&T Video Share:
“To use the service, a Video Share-capable handset is required. Two Video Share service packages will be available for $4.99 a month for 25 minutes of Video Share usage or $9.99 a month for 60 minutes of usage. Users also may choose to pay as they go and pay 35 cents a minute each time they use the service. Video Share minutes are charged only to the sender.”
You should be able to purchase Video Share at your local AT&T retailer, and if you’re down for a demo or more info, check out this link.
