U.S. or Japanese porn? Who will win the HD format war?

Just when you thought it was safe to buy an HD DVD player, the Japanese porn industry decides to go exclusive Blu-ray, leaving the real winner of the format war to ultimately be determined by which adult movies, U.S. or Japanese, raises more … eyebrows.
HD DVD may have the U.S. adult film market, but a new format is on the block, with a fresh new look that’s certain to draw in consumers. Japanese adult movie makers have decided to go with Blu-ray Disc as a result of Sony offering a higher level of technical support to the industry.
Sony says it offers technical support to any film makers looking for help, regardless of the industry, but claims its disc replicating subsidiary, Sony DADC, will not replicate adult films.
Kiyotaka Konna is a director of administration at Assist Corp, who’s job is to replicate DVDs for the adult film industry in Japan. His company was not entitled to press Blu-ray discs due to many adult-related contracts, but Kiyotaka and his team have found a clever solution to the problem.
“We asked some makers in Taiwan to do the work, and then we import the discs back to Japan. The Taiwanese company was able to obtain a pressing machine from Sony and will start mass production in August,” said Kiyotaka Konna.
So here we have a company, Sony, who objects to Pornography, but has given a Taiwanese company the necessary equipment to stamp Blu-ray discs. The Taiwanese company then turns around and stamps adult movies for the film industry in Japan.
Whether or not Sony knew of these actions prior to the events is unknown, but this move is sure to help the Blu-ray Disc gain some ground in the HD format wars.

I have an HD DVD player, and I will probably end up buying some porn for it in HD, but I have never purchased a DVD for porn either, so not sure… I watch it online, so you can believe that I have invested some $$$ into the WMVHD format.
Either way, HD Porn is the best. :)

Sony had to open up to the high definition porn industry to keep up with HD DVD. They can’t afford to have another Betamax on their hands! You best bet is to invest in online HD porn. It’s cheaper and you get more content for your money.
