AT&T to offer shorter iPhone bills and push for online billing
By Jonathan Schlaffer
Not long ago we reported on how AT&T’s iPhone bills were 300 pages long but this will soon be a thing of the past as AT&T has decided not to kill our remaining rainforests by issuing iPhone customers “summary bills.”
The new bills took effect on August 10 for every new customer though I can’t see why this wouldn’t be rolled out to existing customers as well. This means whenever you get your next bill, it should be the shorter and “Earth friendly” kind.
Whatever the case is the new bills will be shorter and will not detail every data transaction, the only things listed will be just basic charges or anything extra that goes outside your account terms.
Customers are also encouraged to use online billing so nothing has to be mailed thus saving even more paper. AT&T, saving the planet, one iPhone at a time. There’s no correcting the damage they’ve already done but there is hope that future generations can undo the damage.
Be warned though that if you move over to the online billing method for the iPhone, there is an extra $1.99 charge per month for it if you want all the call details.

If I were an iPhone subscriber, I would welcome the gigantic bills. That way, you’re getting your moneys worth by making AT&T shell out the extra cash to ship those things!
