Mother posts video clip on YouTube to keep her baby
By Ruben Francia
In a desperate attempt to keep her baby, a UK mother, who is due to give birth early next month, has published a recorded conversation between herself, her husband and a social worker on YouTube.
The video shows the social worker telling the couple that the council would seek a court order to place the baby in foster care despite there being no immediate risk to the baby.
Calderdale Council has commenced legal action to have the recording removed from YouTube, citing violation of the Data Protection Act.
In the recorded meeting, the social worker tells Vanessa Brookes, 34 of Leamington Spa Warwickshire, England, and her husband, Martin, 41: “It’s our intention as a local authority that when your baby is born, we go into court on that same day and ask for an interim court order because we would wish to place your baby with foster carers.”
According to Telegraph, the Calderdate Council has taken particular interest in removing the baby from Vanessa, who was diagnosed with depression and a personality disorder.
Should the judge refuses the application for a care order, the social worker said: “What we also have to think about is a child protection plan that looks at you, at home, with your baby. There is no immediate risk to your child from yourselves, that’s my understanding from reading documents.”
In 2001 and 2002, the court also granted the application of a care order for Vanessa’s other children Chloe Anne, born April 21, 2001 and Anthony John, born August 9, 2002 for reason of her illness. Both parents are still looking for their missing children.
It appears that this is a case where the council will be depriving parents from raising their own children even when they have not yet committed a crime or have a history of child abuse.
Calderdale council should also consider that the removal of the baby from her mother could trigger another cycle of depression.
But given that fact that this is not the first time to happen to Vanessa, the council may possess other evidences to support its claims.
A spokesman for Calderdale council said: “We are taking action to have this item removed from YouTube. This recording was made without the knowledge or consent of our member of staff”.

The recording can still be listened to throughout the internet which is completely legal even here in the UK. Calderdale Council are sending letters threatening legal action to all who upload the audio to their websites or Blogs ECT with the legal bills paid for by the local taxpayers.
Money well spent?
Calderdale Council is in breach of the parent’s human rights and the family are entitled to gather evidence for the courts which includes video, audio and pictures..
Here is a link to listen to the recording which cannot be removed.

The owner of this site as also been threatened – this is the latter part of his reply to Calderdale Council legal department:
I will be even more fascinated to hear the reaction of the High Court
to your application for an injunction seeking to restrain an American
citizen from exercising their First Amendment right to speak freely on
American soil, as that’s what you appear to be threatening.
On the tape a robotic social worker says the following
“We have absolutely ‘no concerns’ but we are looking to take your baby”
“We can transport expressed milk to the foster carers for the child”
“I plan visiting you both at home, but could you tell me if the security camera noticed at your home can record or not”
“Please stay at the hospital with your baby ‘Until the court decides”
Considering the parents application to the European court as been accepted the recording is part of evidence where Calderdale Council is clearly breaching the parents and un-born child human rights.
