Odd iPhone behavior results in $600 mistake for some

Odd iPhone behavior results in $600 mistake for some

There are users that love the iPhone but hate AT&T and still yet bought an iPhone.  There are those that bought the iPhone because of all the hype and now just hate the iPhone, AT&T or both.  Reasons vary but could it be the case that iPhone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be?

Many of the complaints are coming from the business market, seeing as how the iPhone doesn’t support many, if any mobile business applications that are used on a day to day basis.  If Apple truly wants to make the iPhone a success for the long haul it will eventually have to produce an iPhone that a business executive could use his/her applications with.

Silicon Alley Insider found Fred Wilson who hasn’t even opened his iPhone, “the fact that my iPhone is still sitting unopened in my office tells me something. I don’t want it. I have absolutely no interest in it. I’ve held an iPhone before. I’ve taken a picture with it. I’ve typed on it. I’ve used the awesome browser and maps. It’s a work of art for sure. But it’s not what I want in a phone to be honest.

Some are going so far as to sell a lightly used iPhone on eBay which will fetch near retail value at only $20 to $50 off the original price.  The other problems include AT&T’s still sluggish (even after an “upgrade”) EDGE network and typing is harder than it would be say, on a BlackBerry.

Then there are the “unreliables,” iPhones that break and keep on breaking, some have gone through two or three units, issued completely new units and the same or other problems present themselves.

Of course, those with problems are going to be more outspoken than those without problems.

K, thank you, I’d have eventually caught it but you certainly saved me from any further disgrace ;-)

In a recent poll, 90% of iphones are EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the iphone. The next, at 50% BLACKBERRY – the fabled phone with its legions of fans is already a distant second. I’m sure you can find people who hate their Ferrari or regret buying it also but for the vast majority (90%) are more than happy with it. Are there bloggers who actually have a bad iphone – sure, maybe or so they have a hidden agenda like the SI Insider guy who says good things about the iphone but psychologically just can’t join the crowd? He figures by being a contain, he can be quoted in articles like this one? Basically, he lists several features he likes a lot but it’s “not for him,” too easy to use?

The ONLY reasons not to own an iphone are a) you can’t afford one or b) your IT department won’t let you. Otherwise, the iphone is the best phone out by not just a mile but a country mile and by country, I mean another one.
