Penny Arcade Expo: Gamer wins contest, gives away a Wii

By Danny Mendez

Penny Arcade Expo: Gamer wins contest, gives to charityA great gamer with an even greater heart distributed love and pwn like nobody’s business at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo.

Kotaku reports the gamer, Pulsar, attended the Penny Arcade Expo for one reason and one reason only: to pwn noobs at game tournaments. Ok, I’m sure he attended for many reasons, but, with the help of a new friend, he swept the competition at the Guitar Hero II Teams Tournament. Not satisfied with a single victory, he again placed first the next day in the singles competition.

The tournaments give out prize points, which can then be used to buy various items, so he got a Nintendo Wii. He traveled around PAX to have numerous gaming celebrities sign  the console.

After upping the Wii’s worth well past the $350 it’d go for on Ebay, he donated the signed console to Child’s Play, Penny Arcade’s charity for hospitalized children, to be auctioned off.
