It’s Comcastic, 75 year old woman takes hammer to Comcast offices

By Jonathan Schlaffer

cc This would not be the first time a customer has gotten angry at Comcast and decided to take drastic measures but I think it’s the first time a Comcast customer decided to smash up Comcast offices with a hammer.

Mona Shaw decided to take things into her own hands after multiple delays and several broken appointments on the part of Comcast while trying to get her Triple Play installation done.

The Consumerist reports the 75 year old woman walked into the local Comcast Payment Center, smashed a keyboard, knocked over a monitor (and smashed it) and broke one of office phones.  Breaking the phone was, in part, due to the fact that her “Comcastic” home phone service was not working properly.

Comcast technicians had also left behind equipment after saying they needed to bring in a “third party” to complete the installation.

Shaw was arrested for disorderly conduct, her case is set to go to court in December.  She was quoted as saying, “What the hell, I’m 75.”

“What the hell indeed,” Comcast customer service horror stories have been heard all over the Internet and it seems to me that the Baltimore, MD metro area is the only place that gets decent service, at all.

She is also switching back to Verizon for her cable and home phone needs, I guess for her, that would be an improvement.
