We have to take the same measures daily, with respect to other people who attempt to use Newsvine's seeding feature to drive traffic back to sites they're affiliated with. The difference in this case was that the user in question had gotten away with the improper seeding practices for a long time, before he was exposed by another user, as described in this article.
