Dwight explores Second Life on NBC’s The Office tonight
Second Life, the computer game/reality simulator/social network/time waster, will appear on tonight’s episode of The Office on NBC at 9PM.
The NBC comedy seems to enjoy taking on the occasional geeky topic. On October 25, or tonight, the show will take another step in that direction. In an episode titled "Local Ad", Dwight will log onto Second Life, and, well, hilarity is bound to follow. The episode’s synopsis, courtesy of Just Jared:
When the Scranton branch is asked to participate in a Dunder Mifflin ad, Michael seizes his chance to exhibit his creativity. Meanwhile, Dwight explores the online world of Second Life.
As for Jim and Pam, the two will supposedly "get it on" tonight. Personally, I think Pam really blew her chance with Jim, and Jim really should’ve stayed with the hotter, cooler Karen. Yes, I went there.

The Office is a wonderful Thursday evening escape. Following a nearly full week in my own office, I look forward to coming home and relaxing while watching the antics of Michael, the sincerity of Pam and Jim, and the devious hilarity of Dwight. The characters remind us all of folks who invade our ‘reality’ 1st lives and the humor they give allows me to cope and take problems less seriously.
Who would’ve thought that Scranton could be an Oasis?
