Sure, the logic may seem wrong but one has to wonder how much xbox360 sales were helped because for people buying it, backward compatibility wasn’t an issue. I have a ton of PS2 games for my old PS2. But if buying a PS3 doesn’t allow me to play them, way not just buy a xbox 360?

As for PS2 games… am I the only that seems to have noticed that Best Buy and Target seem to be on the verge of ending them?

who’s coming up with these stupid ideas……did the xbox 360 have backward compatibillity……NO!!!!. so i dont see what the big deal is with the ps3 not having it. if you really want bad marketing look at microsoft.
unlike microsoft, sony didnt abandon its last gen console. there are still titles coming out for the ps2. like fifa 08 which sold more copies on th ps2 then it did for the 360.
dont try to make one console look worse off then the other, when the console your trying to make look good did almost the exact same thing. (retard)

They intend to sell the PS2 for ten years, and then purposefully deny later PS3 customers access to that market. That doesn’t just look bad, that is bad.

I swear you people dont have a clue what you are talking about. Its like you find a piece of news and do whatever you can to make it look bad for the PS3 even if it makes the entire piece (AND YOU) look retarded.

They have said for years they intend to sell the PS2 for around 10 years. You appear to be the only people on earth who aren’t aware of that.
