It was amusing to watch people take off work, spend hours in line for a product that Apple had to know was in ample supply. Then instead of feeling used by Apple to make the product uber-hyped, Jobs was actually praised for having the "vision" to have enough product. I'm not saying it isn't an excellent product, or the interface wasn't innovative but damn, doesn't anyone feel manipulated? I would hope the UK learned from the US launch.
