Video demo: Google’s Android mobile OS

By Danny Mendez

Video demo: Google's Android mobile OS Google’s Sergey Brin and Steve Horowitz posted a video on YouTube demonstrating the Android OS on a candy bar style smartphone and an iPhone-like device.

The duo also discusses the availability of the Android SDK, recently released, and the open source nature of the system. A few of the applications featured include the web browser, calling, Maps,  text messaging, and Quake. The short video lasts 6:24 and is definitely worth the time for the curious.

wow. Its definitely above any par set in the current celll phone market. However, the iPhone is sort of on a plateau by itself, and from what I’ve seen, Google isn’t touching it.

I’m impressed! It makes my current PDA look decidedly pedestrian indeed.
