Half of working Americans to get holiday shopping done at work
By Jonathan Schlaffer
Unless you really like your job, you don’t like going to work, in which case come this Monday you may count yourself among almost half of working Americans that will get their holiday shopping done online while “on the clock.”
Most of us are aware of Black Friday and here’s a perfectly good reason to avoid those sales/events but have you ever heard of “Cyber Monday?” That is the Monday that follows Black Friday which is when many Americans will go online at work to do shopping.
Not just do shopping but really do some shopping with some spending nearly an hour to do so and getting paid to do it. Why not, right?
Cyber Monday is when many online stores will counter or offer better deals than their brick and mortar counterparts.
I see nothing wrong with this but some 11 percent of workers have been or will get caught by their bosses shopping online. Just be sure to get your work assignments done for the day and all should be good.
