Shock news: Fake Steve Jobs is Bill Gates’ love child

Shock news: Fake Steve Jobs is Bill Gates' love child There’s been an astounding, neigh unbelievable, twist in the saga surrounding Apple’s attempt to shut down Fake Steve Jobs (FSJ). It’s been revealed by a VERY reliable source (ie I read it on a blog) that FSJ is actually Bill Gates’ love child.

What’s even more unbelievable is that after doing some in depth research (ie on Wikipedia) I’ve discovered that Bill Gates must have been just five years old when he fathered FSJ (FSJ -Dan Lyones – was born in 1960, while Bill Gates was born in 1955). Astounding!

This latest revelation comes in the aftermath of weekend rocked by outrage when Apple offered FSJ hush money to shut down his hilarious and often controversial satire web site. FSJ’s ethos is captured in his shagadelic tag line “Dude, I invented the friggin iPhone. Have you heard of it?”

Apple’s extreme move comes just days after it shut down another controversial web site, Think Secret.

There’s absolutely no doubt about it now. Apple is not just annoyingly evil, it’s unpleasantly evil.

Well, this might have been the case if FSJ’s story was even remotely true. FSJ is very clearly a satire site, but unfortunately many bloggers didn’t realize that FSJ’s latest posts are just part of the ongoing joke (obviously as a comment on the Think Secret situation).

Smart bloggers picked it straight away. Robert Scoble got the joke, as did Scott Karp. Many others didn’t.

The interesting thing is that FSJ gave a very obvious clue in his post (salient lines highlighted):

To all of you who celebrate Christmas I wish you a happy holiday. To everyone else, enjoy the time off. Spend time with your loved ones. Turn off your computer. Remember what’s important. Little hint: It ain’t this. Peace out to all, and to all a good night.

Good one Dan.
