Anti-iPods: SanDisk Sansa (32GB) and Sansa Clip (4GB) upgraded at CES

By Danny Mendez

SanDisk Sansa (32GB) and Sansa Clip (4GB) upgraded at CESFor the rebellious who like their electronics sans Apple logos and full of value, SanDisk leads the charge at providing great iPod-alternatives, and the recent upgrade to the Sansa line is definitely going to turn some consumer heads (for price if not for looks).

First up, we have the SanDisk Sansa Clip, a small, iPod-shuffl-ish flash based MP3 player with a small yet very usable screen. It tops out at 4GB for $80 in silver instead of the Clip’s old black.

Secondly, we have the Sansa View. The player perviously topped out at 16GB, but SanDisk jumped up to 32GB for the player’s appearance at CES. Set for release in February, it’ll cost $350 if you’d like to pick one up.

While we strongly recommend giving these players a try if you’re interseted, keep in mind that they work best on Windows machines. If you’re using an Apple computer, it is probably easiest to jump on the iPod bandwagon. By the way, thanks to Gizmodo for the pictures.
