New and old episodes of Lost (and other stuff) hit Xbox Live Marketplace
ABC-Disney and MGM content is now available on Xbox Live. The deal includes new and old episodes of Lost and other ABC shows as well as Disney and MGM movies.
The ABC-Disney deal alone will bring over 500 hours of video to the Live Marketplace. The new content comes from sources like the ABC Television Network (obviously) but also ABC News, Toon Disney, ABC Family and others. Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and Desparate Housewives are also coming along for the ride, and Disney movies are included, of course.
It gets better. MGM and United Artists, an MGM sister company, is adding tons of films from its ridiculously large library, which includes Terminator, Silence of the Lambs, Legally Blonde, Barbershop, Platoon, and Rain Man. Much of the new content from both ABC-Disney and MGM will be offered in high definition as well as standard definition. Some of the content, like the new episode of Lost, the season four opener, should be available right now.
For Lost addicts who lack a traditional TV (a common trend among college students and young people), this is a huge blessing. We’ve been looking for a reason to buy more Microsoft points, and for new high-def episodes of Lost, Microsoft will have our money — once again.
