Helio lowers unlimited everything plan to $99

By Danny Mendez

Helio lowers unlimited everything plan to $99Fighting the big four (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile) isn’t an easy task especially for a MVNO. Well, Helio isn’t just any ol’ MVNO, and it’s out pulling the big guns, every big company’s worst nightmare: better prices.

Previously $145, the unlimited plan offers subscribers unlimited nights and weekends, mobile to mobile calling, messaging, data and email at 3G speeds, GPS services, and minutes. It’s unknown how long the price cut will last, but the new price, $99, is sure to attract new customers when compared to the competition.

For example, take Verizon’s unlimited PDA/Smartphone Nationwide Email and Messaging plan. There’s not even an option for unlimited minutes, but 6000 would run you $240. You also get unlimited data, messaging, and all that jazz, but your phone may not come with GPS capabilities. A similar plan from AT&T for 6000 minutes would run $200.

Sounds pricey, right? Well, that’s what Helio’s hoping you’ll think. Though it may only get the relatively small wireless company a tiny boost of subscribers, competition tends to favor the customer, so we may see price breaks from the other carriers if Helio’s ploy works.

Well Helio’s ploy is working great. Here at Invicta Wireless we compare plans from all major carriers and get customers the best deal for their needs. Due to Helio’s great offering, we used to suggest Helio on average of 22% of our customers. Right now that number has jumped to greater then 75% of the users. This means that for 75% of wireless customers in the market Helio has the best rate plan for them. This might be why Helio is now the number one MVNO nationwide.
