Top 6 places to find Valentine cards online

By Matt Jansen

Top 6 places to find Valentine cards online Valentine’s day is usually a love-it-or-hate-it holiday and in this list you’ll discover cards that suite both moods. From slapstick funny to mushy romantic, we’ve got you covered.

Please note that this list is in no particular order.

1. The first  site is decidedly anti Valentine’s Day. Meish.org provides over 20 cynical cards that blast traditional Valentine gestures like giving candy or flowers. “The idea of the site is to provide an alternative card-sending service for all the people who think Valentine’s Day is sickly-sweet, exclusively coupley, consumerist nonsense or otherwise a bit naff.”

Here are a few samples from Meish.org:

2. If you’d prefer to send an audio card, here’s an eclectic collection of songs for you from Exopolis. The site requires flash and may take a few seconds to load.

3. DGreetings offers a nice selection of Valentine cards with several different categories to choose from like Valentine Roses and Made for Each Other.

4. If you’d like to create cards online and print them and are willing to spend a little cash, MyCardMaker offers an excellent Flash interface with a regularly updated card selection. There’s a link to try the service out without signing up first (though they won’t let you print until you become a member).

5. Or, if you’re more interested in making cards by hand, FamilyFun offers an extensive list of options along with accompanying how-to videos. Stained glass hearts and Love handles caught my attention.

6. Flickr also provides thousands of free options. Just visit the main page and type in valentine card (or click on the link I’ve provided). Many of the cards here are stunning and visually rich.

    1. Michael M.:

I found another great way to put your love one’s photos in an ecard. There’s this FREE site called Mushygushy.com where you can put your own photo heads into their animated ecards. I sent the below musical Valentine e-card to my wife and she absolutely loved it. Make your own for FREE starring YOU! You’ll love the reactions you get!
