They use harassment techniques and insults via character names, dialogues, and setting up instances and battlegrounds. The most obvious example I've experienced was a battlegrounds with player #1 using my cousins last name, player #2 randomly asked player #3 if his name was my cousins first name. Well within the battle, I happened to scroll my screen over a player named "Link." As my screen passed over that character, my connection to the server was terminated. I suspect they have complete fake servers set up to harass players that cuss or for political reasons outside of the game. Hell, I'm lucky if this isn't a fake posting site. If you read even the few sentences above, they believe (hope) that they can use the virtual world of gaming to analyze and predict social behavior. They are not looking for terrorists online, they are trying to understand patterns of behavior and think that the very controlled world of the mmo may provide an effective model to study human social and anti-social behavior. By the way read the EULA, you have no rights. If you’re afraid, delete your character, close your account and do something that is much more difficult to model (like hang out with real people,) just before you go send me your money and stuff.
