Microsoft’s Zune 3.0 to hit during holiday season!
By Danny Mendez
Microsoft boss Francois Ruault said in a French newspaper the next Zune will hit stores sometime during the holiday season… of 2009!
Anythingbutipod broke the news in English citing the GNT and French digital music blog GenMP3. Ruault, the "directeur de la division grand public de Microsoft France," believes the third generation Zune will hit the US and other countries late next year — likely immediately before or during the holiday season.
Many European Zune fans have been wondering when the Zune will hit European shelves, and Ruault’s comment on the next-gen Zune’s release-window was essentially the answer to their… wonder.
Microsoft’s future media player should see a global release unlike previous Zune models, satisfying (the scarce?) Zune fans worldwide.
Though we can’t help bashing the Zune (it’s just such an easy target), we can admit that it’s a pretty great player overall (for Windows users), and the art on the new players truly is bangin’.

I have had every different kind of player and zune is the best. Show me a player that with an update can go from having only zune to zune then having zune to zune and access to a wireless network. They made an awesomely dynamic product that has yet to be seen!
