Tor is Offering Free eBooks and Sci-Fi Wallpaper

Donato Giancola Tor.com is offering a new free ebook and two incredibly beautiful sci-fi wallpapers each week for a limited time. You can’t beat free for drawing people to a website especially when the website also offers a contest for an Asus Eee PC.

The wall papers are amazing and the ebooks are from top notch authors such as Mercedes Lackey and Tobias Bucknell. The illustration you see here was created by Donato Giancola. Other illustrators who work has been featured are: Luis Royo, John Jude Palencar, and Jon Foster. All of the illustrations are very gorgeous.

The ebooks are downloadable as HTML, PDF, or MobiPocket. MobiPocket books can be read on Computer, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, and Palm by installing the MobiPocket Reader. The wonderful thing about ebooks is that they can be read on most of the gadgets that people already own. Windows Mobile, Palm, and Blackberry allow ebook reading whenever there is downtime.
