I've got the C2 service, and am in love with it so far. It's faster than when I had Comcast, a LOT faster, and more reliable. Comcast was horrid with outages and various other problems, not to mention, every time a neighbor moved out or got their service shut off, the techs would cut mine too, causing me to have to deal with the long call queue for Comcast to get it back on. I called Cavalier on a Tuesday, and had my DSL modem by Fed Ex on Saturday, ready to go, with phone line and DSL already active.

@buffalo bill

Probably the latter. I have Cav's high speed internet, and while it is definitely faster than dial-up, and does offer a reliable, always-on connection, it does not reach anything close to the advertised speeds in my area. You're talking basic DSL here, and bandwidth will vary depending upon how far from the CO you are.

This is a reply to Hallo Amt....

Okay understand that United States is basically the third largest country itself...and Europe (really just most of Western Europe) may have your 25mbps because Europe has many countries able to bankroll the installation of fiberoptics and blah blah blah....Also I wouldnt really be talking cuz Old World is still relativly slow because South Korea and Japan have internet connections faster than that....and you wanna know why.....cuz there smaller countries also and the infrastucture for fiber optics is much easier to facilitate.......

Jonathan, When I called Cavalier to get more info about 'C2' last week, I was told that "NetGardian" virus protection is included for free, though I don't know how it compares to others. (also some kind of spam blocker)
