Why is it that whenever there is a debate about an apple product it forces people to get there stuck up , pc loving ways into action. You have far too much time on your hands when slaggin off a product brings you pleasure. If you dnt like it..dont get it!!!!!

It's weird, isn't it? You guys harp on about the "kiss ass" factor of this site, about how it's always so "pro Apple". It does seem however that it's just as annoying to hear people who are so anti everything Apple just because they feel it gives them gravitas if they are the objectors.

I've used pretty much every smart phone there is and they all SUCK, at least the iPhone is as close as a handset gets at the moment to offering anywhere near the functionality that a smartphone should.

Proper email, proper browser, easy connectivity between applications.

Sure no video, shit camera etc, but come on... it's the first generation of it's kind. I can guarantee you that in 3 years the iPhone will strip other smart phones hands down due to the fact that every 3rd party developer is chomping at the bit to get lite versions of their app on it.

Add this to the fact that Apple already have an entire productivity suite in all genres ready to pipe onto the iPhone (exclusively obviously) and what we are about to see is a mother of a powerful hand held interface.

I think that we should all enjoys the technology evolution that we are part of instead of picking holes all the time. Just remember it wasn't that long ago that we were all wearing deer fur and eating insects!

I've had the iphone for about six weeks and i have to say it’s a great iPod! As far as using it as a phone it feels like it’s still in beta. I also have an AT&T Tilt, the tilt has the iphone beat hands down! Sorry I didn't drink the apple koolaid, I wish I did then I wouldn’t care about so many missing features! I hope the next iphone will have the same abilities as most of the other smart phones on the market. It’s pretty bad that
A three year old so called smart phone kicks the crap out of the current iphone.

It would have been nice to see "could feature" or a "?" in the headline. It aggregated into Google News with its current headline. :(

Sorry Jesper. If you want total objectivity, don't expect to find it here.

The sheer volume of fawning, bowing and scraping towards everything Apple, particularly on this site, is rapidly becoming nauseating.

It is so crazy the way apple is able to amaze all these tech news letters.
The first iPhone was great for email and websites, but after that there was no real news. The device was packed with "stone age" technology.
I still wonder how they are able to do this time after time.
The new iPhone will have 3G, wow wow wow.. amazing. No it's not, video calling has been used in europe for 6 years, how can this become news ?
I wish more tech guys, would start to get real.
Yes it looks great, but where is the NEW Technology ? Tell the news like it is, and stop sucking on a Apple newsletter.
