Hiding SSID and using MAC filtering usually introduces more problems than it tends to solve. Apple’s especially seem prone to having problems reconnecting to hidden SSID networks. Use WPA2 so (a) all data is encrypted when broadcast wireless-ly to everyone and (b) it takes a password to use the network at all.

maybe what FernaLima means is cloning only the mac address and set the ip address to static outside the range of dhcp address, but on the same ip networks.. I agree to FernaLima, you can connect multiple mac address… but connect in the same ip address will have a conflict of IP.

You are not safe,
I can do that in less than 5 minutes:

– Hidden SSID
Solution: deauth attack using aireplay-ng

– MAC address filtering
Solution: clone an authorized MAC address AND the associated IP address, to avoid any conflicts on the network.

BTW, it’s hardly to crack a non SSID Network but Isn’t more unsafe activate SSID?

The most secure settings would be:

SSID off
MAC Address Filtering
WPA2 Personal Encryption

That’s protects if you have a Hacker neighbor
I just using an Hidden SSID and MAC Filtering and works Great.
