Intelligent Forms creates the SOLo solar table
Imagine being able to lounge around the pool with your cool drink and your laptop on at a table that is a solar collector/laptop-gadget charger. The SOLo table provides just that opportunity. It looks a bit like a thick rollable card table with a pull out drawer.
Intelligent Forms is the creator of the SOLo table. The glass tabletop works as a solar collector with silicon cells contained within it. The table will collect 17Kw of energy over the year with the right climate conditions – sun being one of the major requirements.
The SOLo also has connectors for various gadgets to recharge. Connectors included are USB, lighter and normal three prong plug are concealed in a drawer on the side. Because it is indeed a useable table, you can work outside with your favorite beverage close to hand and laptop plugged in while you update your Facebook status.
Also included in this techno table are a Bluetooth transmitter, rechargeable batteries, LCD screen, charge monitor and “maximum power point tracker”. The table will let you know when it is low on power and will optimize its solar collecting. Not bad for a cocktail, poolside, card, or lounge table.
The best thing about the SOLo table is that all of the energy used is free (except for the cost of the table). You can charge every gadget you have and use your laptop extensively without having it affect your power bill at all. Nifty. Sign me up for two when the price reaches affordable.
Right now the table is aimed towards cruise ships, resorts, and wealthy pool owners. Oh, well. One can dream.

“17Kw of energy” – watts is power, not energy.

I would like to see the specs of the actual panel, Inverter(is it Sine-Wave ? ), battery storage for excess power not used. What material is the panel ? Is it Single Cell, Multi-Crystaline, Amorphous, or CIGS ? Panel specs please. Does anyone know the actual HOME PAGE for this product or did I just miss it in the descrpition ? When is the release date and what is the $$$ ?
I use PV Power for 100% of my off-grid home needs. I’m very interested in this product for someone to be introduced to the VIABILITY OR SOLAR ELECTRIC AT HOME. I have installed off-grid and grid-tie systems, but I’m a major proponent of off-grid homes.
