"Windows 7 is based on Vista, it uses the same kernel and is all set up to be compatible with Windows Vista drivers."

You've got to remember, Windows 7 is still in it's early-alpha stages. It basically runs on top of Vista coding for testing purposes.

There's really no use in debating the issue as of yet, though. We'll probably see after WinHEC 2008&2009.

"It would be ridiculous to think that Microsoft could test every device on the planet, so no, it shouldn’t be the other way around."

Pretty odd comment in the context of your Linux rants. What happened to

"I hear that ATi cards really are a problem for X-Server… hmmmm, just imagine if Windows was plagued with these problems .."

Maybe you've heard of a little thing called drivers that support hardware within the operating system. It would be ridiculous to think that Microsoft could test every device on the planet, so no, it shouldn't be the other way around.

Could it have been worded better in retrospect, perhaps, I will give you that.

Ummm, are you trying to have hardware companies just tell you to go take a flying leap. They're not there to cater to you Bill, maybe they'll go hang out with Steve or the Penguin family of things. Stick with the 360, it's the only thing left you're good at.
