Reware has a new solar powered Juicebag: the Profolio
By Susan Wilson
How can you lose with a bag that can power all of your gadgets through solar power and is made from recycled material. This is a green geeks dream come true and now Reware has a new bag called the Profolio.
The Profolio is Reware’s newest bag created specifically for professionals. The bag has one side that is padded for laptops, another side for files and with pockets for your gadgets and an outside zip pocket. This bag is designed like most other such bags except that this bag can also use solar energy to recharge your gadgets.
Reware is known for its Juicebags. Juicebags have removable solar panels on the outside of Reware’s tote, messenger, backpack and Profolio bags, making them not only unique, but also “powerful”. These bags can charge your cell phone or PDA or other gadgets while you walk from one place to another or simply sit in the sun.
The flexible solar panels use copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) technology that creates more energy than other thin panel solar products of the same size. By using your normal car charger, you can plug your gadget into the included socket in the bag and charge while you go.
All of the material used to make Juicebags comes from recycled juice bottles that have been melted down and spun into thread. This thread is then woven into fabric that is extremely durable, water proof, and strong. It is the same material that fleece was originally made from.
Carrying the Profolio (now at a special introductory price of $299 down from $399) will strengthen both your green and professional geek cred.
