Early photos of HTC Touch Diamond, Pro for T-Mobile surface
By Triston McIntyre
You know what really grinds my gears? Cell phone carriers don’t reveal what phones they will be hosting until just about the time those phones are scheduled to be hitting shelves. Luckily, as America is pretty much last to catch almost every decent handset, we can occasionally get some help from our buddies across the pond.
That’s where these early images of T-Mobile branded HTC Touch Diamond and Touch Pro handsets are from, courtesy of GSMHelpdesk. As you can see, the Touch Diamond has a very different look from the standard HTC version, wearing a chrome skirt as well as “MDA” and “T-Mobile” branding.

The Touch Pro also wears the T-Mobile badge of approval, though the case looks nearly identical. It is noteworthy that both models seemed to have much more rounded edges and lines than the standard aggressive lines that other carriers will be receiving.
Both the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro boast 3.2 megapixel cameras, 4Gb onboard storage for the Diamond, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with TouchFlo 3D GUI, HSDPA data up to 7.2 Mbit/s download and 1.4 Mbit/s upload speeds, GPS, a 640 x 480 VGA display, and all the standard bells and whistles associated with Windows Mobile, including full Office Professional.
There is a little bad news. A while back, a possible list of 16 new handsets that T-Mobile plans to debut through July and August surfaced. If you want to check out the list, here’s the link. Three handsets of the 16 were not named explicitly on the list, and many believe that the Touch Diamond will be the the flagship mystery handset to be rolled out.
Though that is certainly good news for T-Mobile customers, the power texters amongst you might be sad to learn that many fear the T-Mobile-branded Touch Pro will not make it to T-Mobile U.S.A. Remember, these are T-Mobile Europe photos, and a T-Mobile brand never means that we’ll see every fun handset stateside.
However, even just the Touch Diamond would be a welcome addition to the T-Mo lineup here. Right now, the “flagship” touch handset on shelves is the rather overpriced T-Mobile Wing. With an acceptable touch screen, but a weak standard version of Windows Mobile 6.0, The heavy hitters using T-Mobile service should be glad to lay hands on the shiny new HTC Touch Diamond.

You might want to check on your claim that both the diamond and the pro will have an internal 4 G memory as the original specs on the pro showed no internal 4 G with an expansion slot instead.

martn, the article doesn’t say both will have the 4g. Read it again, it says “4Gb onboard storage for the Diamond”

Is this for T-Mobile in the States? Cause I live in the US and I absolutely love this phone. About all of the popular phone companies have this phone, except T-Mobile. If you have any answers, Please let me know!
