Android already has a browser, as pointed out later in this article. And that browser is in fact &quot;Chrome&quot;, as it&#039;s using the exact same engine - WebKit.

What technologies in Chrome will make the Android browser more unique? Even Mozilla has caught up with the V8 engine by now, and Firefox 3.1 will be faster than Chrome.

This story is a non-story. &quot;Chrome&quot; is already on Android in the form of WebKit. It might not be called &quot;Chrome&quot;, but that&#039;s a different story.

That they&#039;ll share code between the two browser project is a completely different story.

Chrome is irrelevant to the mobile market, except for the name being used for the existing Android browser, which is the same browser as Chrome in practice.</description>
