Leaked BNP member list Google Maps mash-up
A 12,000-strong list of members of the British National Party was leaked on Nov. 18, revealing teachers, police officers, and soldiers who were members of the far-right party. If this leak wasn’t controversy-causing enough, a Google Maps mash-up was then created using the information.
The British National Party is a far-right political party in the UK, which wants to see immigration in to the UK stopped and non-whites returned to their place of origin. So, being a member of the party is somewhat risqué as it exposes you (rightly or wrongly) to claims of racism.
On Nov. 18, the UK was rocked when a list of BNP (British National Party) members was leaked online. The list not only detailed the names of over 12,000 members of the far-right party but also their home addresses and job titles. This then lead to the creation of a Google Maps mash-up which saw each alleged member plotted on a map of the British Isles.
The list of alleged BNP members was leaked on a blog over the weekend before being quickly removed. But the cat was already out of the bag and the list is available from a number of sources, including torrent sites and Wikileaks. The mainstream media also got hold of the story and have detailed several members who are serving police officers, teachers, and soldiers.
As part of the debate, the possibility of creating a mash-up of the list using Google Maps was discussed, and Ben Charlton, owner of Spod.cx, did exactly that. The map showed where each alleged member of the BNP was situated in the British Isles, and is basically a see of red pins.
However, according to Techcrunch UK, the map has now been removed from the site due to fears over vigilante attacks. Although the map was anything but accurate, the information contained in it could have potentially been used to launch an attack on someone thought to be a member of the party.
But, as the actual list itself proves, once something has been published on the Internet, it tends to be in the ether forever. Even if the removed Google Maps mash-up doesn’t resurface, there’s nothing to prevent someone else using the information contained in the court order-defying list to create another one.

Kinda pales into insignificance against the actual attacks these racist b……s and their hanger-on thickos have perpetrated for years.
Vigilante attacks? Funnily enough, I haven’t heard of any such against them – just the application of the law of the land. Vastly different from their “vigilante” (mindless and thuggish) attacks on their targets for years, and years, and years.

This is how your oppressive regime works. Have everyone live in fear of being accused of racism so they wont stand up for their right not to have their country invaded or their people ethnically cleansed from their homeland.
You are the true hypocrites. You advocate all non-whites to have self-determination and be ruled by native leaders such as Ghandi and Mandela, but when whites ask for equal rights in our countries you side against us and advocate non-native leaders. Does anyone need more proof that you are anti-white racists? I guess some people are more “equal” than others?

Just to add that while I’m sure someone from an ethnic minority could make a fair and capable leader of our country, I’d question the principle that if you have nothing against an ethnic minority premier for our country, then surely you must also think it was just fine for white people to govern other people’s countries? I for one am staunchly against imperialism.

I Think most of you are missing a bigger picture about this leak,It comes hard on the heals of many other sensitive info leaks itis immaterial what group it is what every person should be worried about is just how easy it has become to get information it could so easily have been jewish members of society or muslim’s no matter what the mass information there will always be a use for factions etc to use it .I think it is time that every uk resident called for a massive investigation into Data being held on the public! this leak on the bnp has the potential to cause civil unrest so does the keeping of this type of data actually undermine the anti terrorism laws that the powers that be hold so much faith in?I am not a racist but I do believe any foriegner that comes to live in this country should take our ways of life as theirs,after all it is essentially a christian country with a monarch sworn to defend the faith of this country, therefore you should not expect to have mosques,cynagogsor any other form of temple by right! it is the foriegners place to learn the ways of this country not impose his culture on the people of this country.I dont say you should not worship your faiths but do not expect to use a race card to attain them in actual fact by not doing this you become racicst yourseleves no one is black, no one is white however if you are a citizen of this country you are english, and observe the englishmans customs.

The publication of this list has encouraged a New McCarthyite campaign. Bosses are threatening to dismiss those listed from their jobs. I would like to caution anyone thinking about doing that. Our Union will uphold the rights of BNP members to freedom of association and expression alongside anyone else. We will make it our business to take you before every possible court and tribunal if you discriminate against anyone listed on the basis of their political opinion or assoication. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

I work in an environment in which we support people with learning difficulties and mental health issues. When we have to employ people that can not communicate the basic english languge effectivley, this can have a dramatic effect on their lives with no procedures to take these issues forward (it will create a volatle enviromenr), due to the immagrants, human rights and regulations. This has an effect on all the services we are providing and the people we support and their human rights (The Goverment will have a great deal of Safeguarding issues to deal with).If we were ever taken to court, we would be on our own as no-one in the local authority would take any resposibility – ever as they would like to pass it on to all providers, or cares. Also – all of my family and ancestors have paid their taxes and for all of their children and they can not get the basic teatment they deserve.. My hearing impaired son of 21 years) went to a music gig for the first time and a drug effected peson and 3 of his friends attacked him to the point that he had to have cosmetic surgery on his broken nose as they attacted him with a broken bottle and a chair leg, but we are still waiting for a agreemnt that someone will pay for his dental treatment..(what bothers me about this is my son does not like to go out as his hearing disability has caused him to lack low self asteem
please let me know how you can support me with your political manefesto’s. I will always vote for BNP- But I would suggest that you challenge the votes as we all work with a great deal of people and the % is that BNP could gain asset
