Write longer Tweets with Twitblogs
By Emily Price
Twitter only allows users to post updates that are 140 characters long or less. When you’re long-winded like many of us, that limitation can be, well, limiting. A new website Twitblogs attempts to give those of us who have a little more to say the opportunity to do so, while still posting our fabulous updates on Twitter.
I was one of the first people to sign up for Twitter (as evidenced by my username “Emily.” I gave the service a test drive while it was still in beta and honestly thought at the time “Who would use this thing?” Over time it’s become pretty obvious who would use this thing … everyone. The idea of trying to just write 140 characters really can be limiting at times.
With Twitblogs you can say what you want to say in as many characters as you need to say it in. You can upload pictures; embed links to Web sites … pretty much anything you could do on a traditional blog. You blog posts on Twitblogs are then uploaded to your twitter account as well, so you get double the exposure for half the posting.
Theoretically if you already have a Twitter account then you’re already signed up for the service. Your existing username and password for Twitter are also your username and password for TwitBlogs. The idea is actually a pretty good one- especially for us long-winded people.
One important thing to note about the service however is that it was started by Sam Sethi. Sethi has a bit of a reputation for being an unsavory character. You can read all about his exploits on TechCrunch here. While people’s personal lives very rarely need to be mentioned as part of their professional ventures, you would in essence be giving him your Twitter log-in credentials and the site has no sort of privacy policy in place that keeps him from selling those credentials or doing whatever else he might want to do with them.

Thank you for mentioning us and trying to stick to the facts.
The little detail you mentioned is hardly accurate, Sam Sethi is part of the team, he is not the owner of the company or president, etc.
Our team includes nearly 10 people mostly Devs and three managers. Please keep that in mind when you question the honesty and integrity of the other 9 team members.
If you have any questions, feedback, etc you know to reach me.
Kind regards
Roger
