All in one gadget lovers and beer drinkers can now rejoice. Coming down the pike is a gadget that will be the best of both worlds: the all in one, under the counter, computerized beer brewing machine. Computers and beer? How than that possibly be bad?

Not yet released or priced, the NanoBrewMaster Home Brew Station is a beer-loving geek’s dream come true. It fits into your kitchen as part of your counter top system, and hides a fully automated brewing system that will allow you to brew not one, but two different flavors of your favorite home brew recipe.

The NanoBrewMaster is fairly compact for all the work it is equipped to do, coming in at 2 feet by 8 feet. It is designed to not only brew two kinds of beer, but to keep your beer at the perfect temperature, and allow you to tap your own keg when it is ready right out of the same system.

The system handles the entire brewing process, including sterilization, using a computer controlled system that is based on an extraction brewing method. This means that even someone new to beer making can master using the system, because it eliminates some of the more time consuming tasks of traditional beer making, like mashing (combining malts and hot water in a mash tun to aid fermenting) and sparging (running hot water over the grain layer left after mashing to get wort).

If that last sentence left you shaking your head in puzzlement, you can see why a simplified brewing process would be a great idea for the layman looking to start a new hobby. One thing the marketing copy doesn’t discuss is the smell. If you’ve ever been to the house of a friend who home brews beer, you’ve had the dubious pleasure of smelling the process. with this planned as a kitchen appliance style gadget, I’d be interested to know how that was handled. Other than that, I am already sold on the idea.
