Obama’s Web site up and working
By Gareth Powell
Before Barack Obama took the oath of office, his administration took control of the Web site whitehouse.gov.
It was that quick. At one minute past midnight the Bush administration Web site was down and Barack Obama was smiling in his place. The old Web site, eight years of it, went to the National Archives.
The new slogan is, “Change has come to America,” and in the opinion of some, the speed of the Internet is part of that change.
There are blogs galore and early users found, “The President has not yet issued any executive orders.”
Some are expected soon but probably none will be about the Presidential Blackberry.

Super entry of Obama as new president of America.
We all of us are hoping to be good in each respect.

Barack Obama is important to me.
I cannot live without hope. Hope for my children. Hope for my grandchildren. Hope for my extended family.
I have to go in from the beginning with hope that Barack Obama will get at least some things right. That the world will be, however slightly, better.
Otherwise I think I would probably give up.
Do I think Barack Obama will be another Abraham Lincoln?
No, that time is past and Lincoln was not
without his many faults..
But I hope, he will do at least SOME great
things.
People cannot be judged by speeches. I live in quiet hope. I would not have it otherwise.
